Dear friends,
With a heart full of mixed emotions I write to let you know that on Monday this week (Aug 16, 2021) Christy’s brother, Josh, fell while working due to an equipment error. He died on the site.
Christy is traveling to Holland, Michigan for the funeral and to linger with family for a few weeks. She will be there from August 24 through September 15.
Josh was a believer, a “big man” whose faith was evident from the fruit of love in his life. He was a man of wisdom and great humor. We grieve as those who have hope (cf 1 Thess 4:14). Some tears come from loss and others from great joy as we know where Josh is now.
Please pray for Christy as she travels with all four girls, ages 1-6, alone for a smooth trip and grace if God chooses to allow bumps. Pray for us as we continue to grieve, with Zach staying behind for a variety of reasons.
