Invitation to the April Among Us prayer meeting with Zach and Christy
April is a month we have been praying and preparing for since August (and longer).  At the end of this month several of our partners are organizing a Missions and Bible Translation Consultation in the capital, Abuja.

Here are some times we have prayed for events leading up to the consultation:
We invite you to join with us in the fellowship of prayer, whether now (prayer points below) or in the prayer meeting.  We plan to pray for half an hour on Thursday, March 14 at 12 noon Eastern Daylight Time. (see what time this is in your time zone)

Prayer Points

  • Thank God
    • Christy is feeling much better than last month!
    • Last month we asked you to pray for clear vision as we seek God's will in a major decision.  While the decision itself remained foggy right up to when Zach needed to make it, together we felt encouraged by a clear call to remember the purpose of the programme, God's provision, and the unity he gives us.
    • Our staff conference (Mar 31-Apr 1) went smoothly.  Last year Zach was exhausted by the end. This year, Zach asked for and got more help running it!  We feel we met the goals: spiritual refreshment, team building and input on key decisions.
  • Please pray:
    • For many church and mission leaders to come to the Missions and Bible Translation Consultation that several of our partners are hosting together.
    • For God to use this to bring Bible translation to many of the two hundred languages in Nigeria that still need it.
    • For unity and fellowship among the church, mission and Bible translation organisation leaders

What days are the next prayer meetings planned?

Why Among Us?

We called our prayer letter Among Us because Christ came and lives among us. Also, we are thankful for the ministry of presence, that we can live among the people of Nigeria.  This prayer meeting gives you a chance to virtually be "among us" to pray with and encourage us. 
Note: We began using this name in 2012 when we got married.

Why on the 14th?

"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us."
--John 1:14
Since the first prayer meeting was so encouraging, we plan to continue to meet on the 14th of each month, no matter what day of the week it falls on.  If you can't attend this month, maybe next month you will be free?
